I'm Back!

Hi Everyone, we're back from a lovely holiday to Western Australia! All I can say is Broome has the most beautiful and inspiring colours I've ever seen - just Gorgeous!! I plan to make some cards inspired by the colours of Broome and of course scrapbook my photo's - so I look forward to sharing these with you all as soon as that happens!! (But don't hold your breath- could take a while - lol!!)

Sorry I don't have any new creations to share just yet - preparations are in full swing for WCMD and workshops coming up, so my time has been very limited, plus my poor girl has been sick this weekend, but I promise to share asap, so stay tuned!!

One Sheet Wonders Technique Class

Sorry I'm a bit late posting this...at last Friday nights technique class we did OSW's. The first one was a simple one - an A4 sheet stamped and cut into quarters to make card fronts for four cards. This was is a CASE of a set by the very talented Marelle Taylor - she calls it the no cutting card! The colours are true thyme, vintage violet and marigold morning and the stamp set is Bodacious Bouquet...

For the second OSW the crayon resist technique was used. This was inspired by a set of cards by Jenni Oliver featured in this months Stamping & Papercraft mag. The stamp set and colours are different but the layouts are similar. The colours I used are Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery (thank you colour coach!) and the stamp set is Petal Prints...

I'm Back!

We're back from Kakadu - had a fantastic time, its a truly magical place with so much natural beauty and wildlife to see. If you ever have the opportunity to go - do it!

I celebrated my thirty something Birthday while we were away! My mum sent me this gorgeous card she made and I just had to show everyone. Mum hasn't made a lot of cards and isn't very confident in her abilities, she didn't want me to show it because she didn't think it was good enough - so if you want to tell her how wrong she is leave a comment and I will forward them on to her.

Before heading to Kakadu we spent some time doing the tourist thing around Darwin. One of the highlights was Crocodylus Park, if you like crocodiles and are interested in learning more about them it has a must see museum and a great educational tour. Breanna thinks Crocodiles are "beautiful"!! Here is a photo of us holding a baby croc at the park...
